This week in class I participated in different discussions such as the importance of copyright, fair use, intellectual properties, and derivative works. I also discussed 2 websites I enjoy that contain good information and reflected on the discussions from classmates. Other than discussions I completed web page design activities that covered the fundamental practices and information on designing web pages. The following image is a simple web page that each classmate had to create using simple html code and css style sheets.
Another project I worked on was a photoshop project where I had to create a simple advertisement using adobe photoshop. I used the images provided in the file by the teacher and after watching the teachers tutorial videos, I created a photoshopped image with the files included in the assignment. The following image is the final result of my photoshop work.
I also visited different websites and determined whether the design of the web page was acceptable and followed the web design rules. I determined if the active white space was properly used and if other aspects of the web page such as colors, fonts, images, navigational methods, and other things followed the web design rules. The following images are 2 websites that I found. 1 website was designed properly and had a visually pleasing aesthetic and navigational methods. The second website was not designed properly and had many visual and navigational errors.

This webpage was properly designed and has callouts indicating what aspects of the webpage were correct and things that stood out to me.
This website was improperly designed as you can see the unorganized structure of the elements in the page. As well as half a screen of blank space which causes the text and information to be small and nearly unreadable.
This week of classes had much work to complete, and I will continue to stay on task and the weeks progress.
